The film follows a young mother struggling to connect with her newborn baby. Ashamed and exhausted, she keeps her suffering to herself.
An ancient creature drawn to mothers in distress begins circling her, setting off a primal battle between the vulnerable mother and the supernatural force stalking her.
It stars Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects, The First Omen) and Essie Davis (The Babadook), with Sky Yang (Rebel Moon), Susannah Doyle (Black Mirror), and newcomer Nicholas Kwoon-Kit Lo Wang.
