‘Disclosure Day’ – Final Trailer Showcases Spielberg’s Belief in Aliens
The final trailer for Spielberg’s ‘Disclosure Day’ has landed, showcasing the filmmaker’s belief that aliens really do exist.

Soon, Steven Spielberg will return to the sci-fi roots that helped define him as one of the greatest filmmakers of our time with Disclosure Day. The director has long trafficked in tales of aliens and wonders from beyond the stars, and in the final trailer released by Universal today, he reveals he really does believe that the truth is out there.
“I am much more inclined now than I was when I made Close Encounters to really believe that we’re not the only intelligent civilization in the universe,” says Spielberg in-between trailer footage. “This is a story about us, all of us, up against the most extraordinary event in human history.“
Adds Spielberg, “I used to say to myself, wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of this turned out to be true? I’m now thinking, wouldn’t it be wonderful for people to know all of this is true?“
Based on everything we’re seeing, I’m inclined to believe him. Disclosure Day looks like it has every chance of capturing the magic of Spielberg’s previous sci-fi wonders, which include E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Not only do I think that will be the case, but it sure sounds like Spielberg’s latest is the culmination of the filmmaker’s journey through the realm of sci-fi. His final statement on the subject of aliens. And I can’t wait.
The film stars Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place), Josh O’Connor (Challengers, The Crown), Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Kingsman franchise), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, The Perfect Couple), and Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Rustin).
Disclosure Day is based on a story by Spielberg, the screenplay is by David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Combined, those films earned more than $3 billion worldwide. Koepp also wrote the script for 2025’s .
