“Mad Men” writer and producer Semi Chellas is next set to deliver a murder mystery series titled “The Long Now” for Netflix, reports THR.
“A man has seven hours to solve his own murder with the reluctant help of his estranged ex. A propulsive thriller that explores the value of time and asks, What would you do if you had one day to live?”
Chellas will serve as showrunner and executive produce alongside Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan of Aggregate Films.
While I’ll admit the premise on its own doesn’t sound like anything we haven’t seen many times before, Chellas is no slouch of a writer. She’s was nominated for an Emmy three times for best writing for a drama series on Mad Men. So, expect her to deliver a propulsive thriller that perhaps finds a few new twists to a not-so-new story.
