Mattel Debuts “Stranger Things” Hot Wheels Van Ahead of SDCC 2026
Ahead of SDCC 2026, Mattel is bringing “Stranger Things” fans back to season one with a Hot Wheels van inspired by the show!

Hot Wheels were all the rage when I was a kid. Look, we didn’t have the internet. What do you want from us? Anywho, I was a collector of the toy cars, though I mostly sought the horror-themed ones like the Jaws-inspired item I still have sitting on my shelf. Hot Wheels are still out here rolling in exciting collabs, though. Ahead of SDCC 2026, they’ve premiered a look at a “Stranger Things” van, and it’s awesome.
That’s because it’s not just the van. It also comes with three mini bicycles that carry characters Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike!
Notes Mattel, “It’s been a decade since the debut of ‘Stranger Things’, and that first season featured an epic van flip moment etched on the memories of fans everywhere. This year for SDCC, we’re taking you back to the bold beginning with a premium Hot Wheels edition of the Hawkins Power and Light ’83 Chevy Van, frozen in the air over Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike as they pedal frantically underneath.”
I remember that moment. It was one of those that helped hook me on the Netflix series. And I can’t think of a better way for Mattel to celebrate the series than this.
