‘Train to Busan’ director Yeon Sang-ho returns the zombie genre with ‘Colony’, and the new trailer looks INSANE.
Well Go USA has released the official trailer and key art for Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho‘s zombie film, Colony, and it looks like pure nightmare fuel.
Colony marks Yeon’s return to the zombie thriller genre, following survivors trapped in a quarantined building during an infection outbreak, battling ruthless infected beings.
Knowing the film comes from the mind behind Train to Busan, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Colony looks absolutely insane. But, yeah, Colony looks NUTS, with hordes of the infected covered in white goo and melding together into vicious blobs of bodies of teeth.
Written by Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, the film follows Professor Se-jeong as she is thrust into a terrifying hellscape when a mutating virus is unleashed during a biotech conference, forcing authorities to seal the facility to contain the outbreak. Unable to escape, Se-jeong and a group of survivors must fight to stay alive as the infected undergo horrific transformations and threaten to spread the virus.
The film stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Ji Chang-wook, bringing together a high-profile cast for what is expected to be an intense, character-driven survival story.
Colony infects theaters in the States on August 28, 2026, via Well Go USA Entertainment.
