Loosely based on Tim Burton’s 1988 film, the animated Beetlejuice series ran from 1989 to 1991. Rather than following the movie’s darker dynamic, the show reimagined Beetlejuice and Lydia as best friends who traveled between the mortal world and the bizarre Neitherworld, where they encountered monsters, ghosts, and surreal adventures.
