You can now hit the road with Paramount Pictures’ Passenger, which is now available on VOD and all Digital streaming platforms for purchase.
After stopping at the scene of a gruesome accident on a remote highway, a young couple (Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell) realizes they didn’t leave alone. A demonic presence known as the Passenger has hitched a ride, turning their van-life adventure into a nightmare they can’t escape.
Melissa Leo also appears in the film.
Director AndréOvredal became a horror name with his 2010 found footage Trollhunter and the classic The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), and would go on to direct two criminally underrated horror films: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019) and The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023).
In our review, Josh Korngut writes that “while Passenger offers some striking aesthetics, a clumsy emotional engine and forced religious themes leave its horror DOA.”
