More brave souls have joined the cast of ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’, with Charles Parnell, Marta Kessler and Caleb Dolden signing on.
Prequel film The Conjuring: First Communion continues to fill out its cast, as The Wrap reports Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick), Marta Kessler (The Mysterious Benedict Society), and Caleb Dolden (Teacup) have joined the latest film in the franchise.
They join Matthias Schweighöfer (Army of the Dead), along with Garrett Wareing (The Long Walk, Manifest) and Amanda Fix (Orphan Black: Echoes, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma) as a young Ed and Lorraine Warren, respectively.
It’s currently unclear whether Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles as the older versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren in some capacity.
Plot details for The Conjuring: First Communion remain under wraps. Rodrigue Huart will direct from a screenplay by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg.
While Kessler and Dolden are young up-and-comers, fans are likely more than familiar with Parnell’s work. The actor has appeared in multiple major films over the last few years, such as Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, David Fincher’s The Killer, and Top Gun: Maverick.
Filming is currently underway on The Conjuring: First Communion.
The Conjuring: First Communion will follow, officially haunting theaters on September 10, 2027.
