Get ready for a massive season of ‘American Horror Story’, because Ryan Murphy has revealed season 13 combines all previous seasons!
Created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, rumors have been circulating for a while now regarding season 13 of American Horror Story. It was widely believed that this season would be a sequel to one of the more popular AHS iterations, Coven. Turns out, though, season 13 is even bigger than that.
Late last night, Variety reported that Murphy dropped a bombshell on Entertainment Tonight while promoting the premiere of his new show, The Shards.
Said Murphy on AHS 13, “Everybody thinks it’s a Coven season and it’s not. It’s all the seasons.”
Yes, you read that right. ALL the seasons.
Continued Murphy, “So Sarah Paulson is playing six or seven roles. Jessica Lange is playing all four of her iconic characters. Evan Peters is playing five characters, and of course Kathy Bates and Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd. It’s like the Avengers! They all come together to defeat the ultimate evil.”
I’ll admit, I’m not anywhere near caught up with AHS (I’m about six seasons behind), but that sounds amazing. I have to imagine if you’re a fan of the show, you’re ecstatic right now.
Added the creator, “I pitched Jessica Lange and she was like, ‘Oh shit, now I have to do it. It’s all of them in one season, and it’s 13 episodes because it’s called ’13.’ I spent many, many months and many years writing it. I wanted to do ’13’ in a special way.”
Sounds like AHS 13 is going out with a massive bang. Get excited.
Especially with how stacked this cast is:
- Ariana Grande
- Sarah Paulson
- Evan Peters
- Angela Bassett
- Kathy Bates
