The long-awaited fifth installment in the beloved series has been rated PG-13 for “language, some violent content, and suggestive material.“
That should hardly come as a surprise. The Killer Tomatoes series has always been geared towards a younger audience. It even had a short-lived animated series that ran from 1990-1991. Hell, I had toys of the angry little red guys that shot water when you squeezed them. A PG-13 rating is right in line with what the franchise should be…silly gateway horror.
