Radio Silence’s ‘The Mummy’ has dug up returns for cast members Kevin J. O’Connor and Oded Fehr, bringing the gang back together!
Big news for those of you excited for Radio Silence‘s Mummy film, the fourth entry in the franchise. Deadline reports that both Kevin J. O’Connor (Deep Rising) and Oded Fehr (pictured above in The Mummy) have signed on to return!
Also joining the cast is Numan Acar (Spider-Man: Far From Home). The three will accompany returning stars Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and John Hannah (and possibly Michael Johnston).
Fraser and Weisz both starred in the 1999 film The Mummy, which follows a treasure hunter who accidentally awakens a cursed Egyptian priest with supernatural powers. The two returned for its 2001 sequel, The Mummy Returns, while Weisz did not appear in the 2008 threequel The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
As for O’Connor, fans will remember him as the whiny villain from the first film, Beni, who meets a well-earned fate in the end. So, how will he come back? The plot is being kept under wraps, but in The Mummy, no one is ever truly dead, are they?
Fehr, meanwhile, played Ardeth in the first two films, the leader of the Madjai, a group of warriors sworn to protect the world from Imhotep.
The fourth Mummy movie is directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Scream, V/H/S, Southbound) from a screenplay by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan, Orphan: First Kill).
