‘Beware Boiúna’ First Look Photos Tease the Massive Titular Snake
We have our first look at Lionsgate’s giant snake movie, ‘Beware Boiúna’, teasing the titular behemoth slithering into theaters this October.
I’m a sucker for a good giant snake movie (I adore you despite your flaws, Anaconda), and it looks like Lionsgate’s Beware Boiúna may live up to the promise, with our first look at the film today that includes a tease of the titular snake!
In the photos below, we see star Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) and others looking at something with petrified horror. Yet my favorite depicts just a small piece of the massive snake, ready to swallow its next victim.
The survival horror movie hails from director Mike P. Nelson, the filmmaker behind Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and takes place in Brazil’s Curuçá River and also stars Kiana Madeira (Fear Street).
Here’s the official logline: “Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.”
Tony Giglio wrote the script with Alan B. McElroy (Wrong Turn).
Constantin Film (Resident Evil) and JB Pictures are the two production companies behind Titan. Robert Kulzer of Constantin Film and Jeremy Bolt of JB Pictures are producing.
The film has been rated R for “bloody violent content, some grisly images, and language.”
Beware Boiúna slithers into theaters on October 2nd.
