‘Beware Boiúna’ Posters Swallow Jimothy and Others Whole
Lionsgate has released a new set of posters for giant snake movie ‘Beware Boiúna’, and boy, do they do hard.
Give it up for Lionsgate, because the studio has just released a handful of posters for their giant snake movie, Beware Boiúna, and damn, do they go hard.
In them, we see some of your favorite viral animals swallowed whole by the titular creature, including everyone’s new favorite raccoon, Jimothy. Sad face.
The images remind me of when Chucky sliced and diced through various toys in the hilarious campaign for the Child’s Play reboot.
The survival horror movie hails from director Mike P. Nelson, the filmmaker behind Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and takes place in Brazil’s Curuçá River and stars Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) and Kiana Madeira (Fear Street).
Here’s the official logline: “Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.”
Tony Giglio wrote the script with Alan B. McElroy (Wrong Turn).
Constantin Film (Resident Evil) and JB Pictures are the two production companies behind Titan. Robert Kulzer of Constantin Film and Jeremy Bolt of JB Pictures are producing.
The film has been rated R for “bloody violent content, some grisly images, and language.”
Beware Boiúna slithers into theaters on October 2nd. Keep an eye out for the trailer tomorrow.
