This is a fantastic poster.
A brand new IMAX poster for Zach Cregger’sResident Evil has arrived, pulling directly from one of the creepiest images in the trailer: a seemingly ordinary suburban home with a pile of bloody bodies literally spilling out through the front door.
It’s such a simple, deeply unsettling visual, and the kind of bizarre nightmare imagery that made Cregger’s Barbarian and Weapons so much fun. Even better, the poster reminds us that Resident Evil was filmed for IMAX, which should make the ensuing carnage that much more insane.
The all-new story follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in a nonstop race for survival as one horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.
Cregger directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Shay Hatten, with Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser also starring.
Resident Evil infects theaters and IMAX on September 18, 2026.
