Ten years after Train to Busan, director Yeon Sang-ho is back in the zombie business with Colony, and a new clip gives us a taste of the terrifying new rules his infected play by.
Ahead of the film’s U.S. theatrical release on August 28, IMDb has debuted an exclusive first look that traps a group of survivors inside a room as a horde of infected desperately tries to break through.
Just when it seems there’s no escape, they discover a chilling detail: when the lights go out, the zombies stop. The first look offers a glimpse at the film’s terrifying world and the rules the characters will have to uncover to survive.
If you’ve seen the trailers, you already know how insane that gets. We’ve got hordes of infected covered in white goo, bodies seemingly melding together, and vicious masses of flesh and teeth that look more like giant organisms than traditional zombies.
Written by Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, Colony follows Professor Se-jeong (Gianna Jun) after a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed during a biotech conference. Authorities seal the facility, leaving Se-jeong and a small group of survivors trapped inside as the infected undergo increasingly horrific transformations.
Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rock, and Go Soo also star.
