Shudder Sets Pregnancy Horror ‘Goody Goody’ for September Release
Shudder has announced that pregnancy horror film ‘Goody Goody’ will arrive on the streaming service this September.
Shudder just released pregnancy horror film Nightborn on the service not long ago, but that isn’t stopping them from getting back into the subgenre. This afternoon, they’ve announced that Goody Goody will land on the streamer this September.
Lulled into a necessary sense of comfort during a long home birth process, expecting parents and their midwife begin to realize something may be horribly wrong. A blizzard rages outside, trapping the family in their home as increasingly sinister complications arise.
Along with the announcement, we have our first look at some images, both of which depict one terrifying pregnancy. In the photo above, we see a woman surrounded by candles and screaming as she (I assume) gives birth. Below, an image depicts that same character within a circle of candles, drenched in darkness. Together, they tease a pregnancy horror film with eerie supernatural implications.
Pair that with the isolated setting, and I’m intrigued. Granted, the subgenre is largely hit or miss (mostly miss), but I’m always hopeful for the rare exception.

Raymond Creamer wrote/directed the film. Goody Goody marks his feature debut.
