If you’re an “Everyday is Halloween” kind of person, these 13 Halloween decorations will fit into your spooky home décor perfectly.
The hottest part of summer 2026 hasn’t been the heatwaves — although they have been punishingly hot. It’s actually all things Summerween. This phrase, a portmanteau of “summer” and “Halloween,” is on the tip of everyone’s tongue and fingertips as they post dreamy Summerween party inspo. Think ghost-shaped ice cubes, watermelons carved like jack-o’-lanterns, and any baked good with Oreo dirt or eyeballs on them.
This weekend, I’m literally hosting a Summerween soirée, which consists of food, fun, merriment, and an outdoor movie night with my horror-loving friends. And the most underrated part of spooky season, which is coming earlier every year, is the wealth of scary-cute décor that you can find in stores. Real Halloween heads know that“Code Orange” can come as early as July, which makes “Halloween hunting” that much more fun.
New data from Michaels suggests that searches for “Summerween” were up 530% year-over-year as early as May and that demand for Halloween decorations, even in the summer, is up. I took a peek at Michaels, since it’s my favorite place to browse for all my collaging, crafting, and fashion DIY needs.
The following 13 items, taken from two of Michaels’ collections — “Enchanted Romance” and “Conjuring Nightfall” — are perfect buys for anyone interested in gothic home décor. Why? Because these are the kind of home goods you’ll want to display in your spooky home in September, October, and all year round.
This Witchy Cottagecore Skull to Add to Your Bookshelf
From Michaels’ “Conjuring Nightfall” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
If your witchiness looks like herbs, incense, and charging your crystals in the moonlight, you’ll probably want to snag this skull with mushrooms flowing out of it. Sure, it’s a Halloween decoration, but it puts you in the mind of misty forests, bubbling creeks, and moss between your toes. If you love movies like Robert Eggers The VVitch, then a home good like this is probably right up your alley.
This Deliciously Dramatic Dagger-Pierced Rose For Your… Sleeve?
From Michaels’ “Enchanting Romance” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
This wall art looks like your favorite hardcore tattoo come to life, in beautiful jewel-toned colors. A rose pierced by a dagger is far from an on-the-nose Halloween decoration, but it’s effective in its spookiness. Sometimes, you don’t want your Halloween to feel like a blood-soaked slasher. Sometimes you want a Halloween that feels like a creepy, slow-burn gothic nightmare, à la Nosferatu or The Invitation (2022).
This Black Velvet Coffin Box That’s a Vampire’s Dream
From Michaels’ “Enchanting Romance” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
Anyone who’s been to my house knows I’m obsessed with coffins. I have a coffin-shaped shelf, a coffin-shaped tray, and even coffin-shaped bathmats. Naturally, I think this Halloween decoration is dope, but I’m biased. Ultimately, I wish Michaels made a bigger version of this that I could sleep in, but alas! I’ll settle for this cutesy velvet-lined box to put on my nightstand or desk, as I daydream of Louis de Pointe du Lac or Lestat de Lioncourt.
This Violently Delightful Wooden Sign for Your Wall
From Michaels’ “Enchanting Romance” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
Move over, Morticia and Gomez Addams. Romeo and Juliet are high-key the most goth couple. If dying by your partner’s side is the romantic thing you can think of, add this wall sign from Michaels — a nod to William Shakespeare’s verse “These violent delights have violent ends.” — to your cart.
This Frankensteinian Test Tube Rack To Spookify Your Desk
From Michaels’ “Conjuring Nightfall” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
This Halloween decoration is for the baddies who played “potions” as a kid and grew up into the kind of freak who’d ask their partner, “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” Bonus points if you’re a STEM nerd or are a sucker for all things dark academia. Rest in peace, Mary Shelley; you would have loved Michaels.
This Dark and Sexy 3-Candle Holder for a (Solo) Date
From Michaels’ “Enchanting Romance” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
Anything with roses, especially dark red ones, feels like a gothic horror lover’s staple. I’d argue that this little candelabra isn’t just a Halloween decoration for the Romantic Goths™ out there, but a way for anyone who is spookily inclined to infuse romance into their everyday life.
To be honest, I would just die if someone I’m seeing pulled this out, topped with those bleeding black taper candles, for a sultry little dinner in October. But in the meantime, I’m inclined to roll out the blood-red carpet for myself by enjoying a nice cold beverage with spooky bath salts and watching Bram Stoker’s Dracula by candlelight or something.
This Swoon-Worthy Romeo & Juliet Folding Screen for Your Nightstand
From Michaels’ “Enchanting Romance” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
I think you should decorate your room for yourself, but let’s be real: Sometimes you do want something a little #aesthetic and very Instagrammable in your space. This folding screen may be part of a Michaels Halloween decoration collection, but I can see it integrated into a Victorian goth home décor lineup year-round. Imagine this with dried red roses or fake pitch-black ones, and lit up by some dark, dreamy candles. Are you seeing the vision? It deserves to go on your grid immediately.
This Perfectly Prickly Black Rhino Beetle for Your Bookshelf
From Michaels’ “Conjuring Nightfall” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
If the tabletop rack of bug-filled test tubes was more of a Dr. Victor Frankenstein vibe, this is definitely more of an Elizabeth (as portrayed by Mia Goth) kind of vibe. This resin beetle specimen perched on a stand is perfect for you if you’re the kind of nerd who’s all about entomology, medical anthropology, and the freaky underside of the natural world.

As a Libra, this piece from one of Michaels’ Halloween decoration collections caught my eye immediately. Along with giving haunted antique store vibes, this scale feels like the perfect accent for a kitchen area. Think Practical Magic vibes. No, you probably won’t be best served weighing powdered herbs or the ingredients for a midnight margarita on this scale. But it would be a great place to display fruits, vegetables, or any macabre sweet treats you conjure up this spooky season.
This Black Bat Candle Holder to Light at Witching Hour
From Michaels’ “Conjuring Nightfall” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
I can’t explain it, but something about this particular Halloween decoration reminds me of “The Killing Moon” by Echo & the Bunnymen — a song you may or may not know from Donnie Darko. This upside-down bat, hanging by a brushed copper moon, feels just as dark and dreamy as that iconic ’80s post-punk song. Looking for the perfect holder for a candle that you’ll light under a blue moon? This one from Michaels is it.
This Sweet Skull Couple that Romanticizes the Peace in Death
From Michaels’ “Enchanting Romance” collection; photo illustration by Caroline Colvin.
This skull duo, laid to rest face-to-face, brings to mind “Join Me in Death” by HIM. Heartagram devotees can lean into the gothic romance of it all by scooping up this sacred heart Halloween decoration that screams, “‘Til death do us part.”

Continuing with the bug theme, this butterfly- and flower-filled cloche is endlessly beautiful. It brings to mind Hocus Pocus, The Ugly Stepsister, and the forests of movies like Wicked and Pan’s Labyrinth. Add this to your bookshelf, your desk, or your nightstand to lean into the dark fairytale vibe.
This Romeo & Juliet Scroll Vase That is Peak Goth Romance

I’m not going to lie — I put this item last because it’s my favorite one and I’m lowkey trying to gatekeep it. Everything about this is a vibe. It’s darkly elegant, it’s a literary reference, and it’s practical. I can’t think of any reason not to love it. And if you’ve made it this far, I bet you feel the same.
Halloween and now Summerween are the best times of year to peruse stores if you’re always on the hunt for home décor that is both spooky and beautiful. But even if you are an “Everyday is Halloween” kind of person, this economy and the demands of adulthood may have you wondering, “Is this item that I’m buying going to give me joy after Oct. 31? Can I keep this up after the official spooky season ends?”
With all 13 of these items, the answer is a resounding “yes.” As I’m redoing my bedroom to have an earthy, whimsigoth flair, I know I definitely want to add a lot of these items in the mix. If you scoop any of these up, tag me or DM me at @delicatehoodoo. I want to see what kind of fun Halloween-themed ideas your dark and beautiful minds come up with!
