Ten years after Train to Busan, director Yeon Sang-ho is back in the zombie business with Colony, and a new clip has caught a fresh scent.
Ahead of the film’s U.S. theatrical release next week, we have a new look at the film in which a few zombies use their sense of smell to hunt down their prey. They’re kinda bad at it.
If you’ve seen the trailers, you already know how insane that gets. We’ve got hordes of infected covered in white goo, bodies seemingly melding together, and vicious masses of flesh and teeth that look more like giant organisms than traditional zombies.
Written by Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, Colony follows Professor Se-jeong (Gianna Jun) after a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed during a biotech conference. Authorities seal the facility, leaving Se-jeong and a small group of survivors trapped inside as the infected undergo increasingly horrific transformations.
Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rock, and Go Soo also star.
Colony infects U.S. theaters August 28, 2026, via Well Go USA Entertainment.
