Dexter Morgan is back, and this time he’s facing two killers and a mid-life crisis.
Paramount+ has announced an October 30, 2026 premiere for Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection, dropping a new promo for the return of Michael C. Hall as everyone’s favorite serial killer. New episodes will roll out weekly through December.
The second season finds Dexter caught between two very different killers, one younger and one older than him, while dealing with what showrunner Clyde Phillips describes as a mid-life crisis of his own.
Entertainment Weekly has also shared the first images of those killers, including Dan Stevens (Abigail, The Guest) as Lucas Stark, a.k.a. the Five Borough Killer, and Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us) as the Sleep-Eyed Strangler.
“He is killing in each borough to terrorize the city,” Phillips tells EW of Stevens’ character.
Interestingly, Stark’s instant notoriety also hits Dexter directly in the ego.
“In his own weird midlife crisis way, one of the things that Dexter has always wanted is recognition,” Phillips explains, pointing back to the fantasy sequence in the original series where Dexter imagines being celebrated by an adoring crowd. “As independent as he likes to think he is, he wants that recognition, and by the time the Five Borough Killer has killed one person, he already has the city in his grip. And that drives Dexter f—ing crazy, because nobody knows who he is.”
The new season also brings Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo, Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Nona Parker Johnson (Little America) into the cast, while EW’s first look previews the shocking return of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones, Breaking Bad).
Returning alongside Hall are Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction) as Charley, Jack Alcott () as Harrison Morgan, (), (), (), (), and (), who has been promoted to series regular.
