EXCLUSIVE: Dread Central has the exclusive trailer premiere for Mr. Creamjeans’ Hidey Hole, a sexually charged, Troma-adjacent horror-comedy dripping with blood, sleaze, and every other bodily fluid imaginable.
The 70-minute anthology will celebrate its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest next week as part of the festival’s Burnt Ends selection.
Directed by Heath Benfield, Mr. Creamjeans’ Hidey Hole looks like a gloriously low-rent collision of underground smut, splatter comedy, midnight-movie sleaze, and old-school Troma insanity. The trailer is goofy, raunchy, gross, and completely shameless, promising rubbery gore, exposed flesh, sexual depravity, and enough fluids to require a cleanup crew.
The anthology is held together by the titular Mr. Creamjeans, described as “the Willy Wonka of smut,” who operates a seedy underground museum filled with erotic nightmares.
Fred Bort stars as Henry, a man suffering from chronic pain and unresolved guilt who receives an ominous message reading, “I know what you did.” The note leads him into the Hidey Hole, where Josh Griffey’s Mr. Creamjeans offers to erase every trace of Henry’s secret crime—but only after he submits to a guided tour through four of the museum’s most depraved exhibits.
As the stories unfold, Henry’s pain intensifies and his grip on reality begins to fall apart, eventually forcing him to confront his role in the lives and deaths of others.
The film also stars Jessa Flux as Lot Lizard, Marlee Carpenter as Ms. Rochelle, and Patricia Blanchfield as Miriam in the appropriately titled “Pappy’s Old Stiffy” segment.
Benfield makes his feature directorial debut from a screenplay by Griffey and Jonathan Holiday. Benfield, Griffey, and Sam Price produced through the Midwestern production company Misfit Parade, which has dedicated itself to making “messed-up movies.”
