You’ll soon be able to look fear in the face this October, as Warner Bros. teases in a new poster for DC Studios’ ‘Clayface’.
This October, we’ll finally get a chance to look fear in the face, as Warner Bros. teases in a new poster for the DC Studios film, Clayface.
The image once again hints at a gruesome body horror take on the comic character coming our way, with the title character’s face dissolving into a blood-red clay that curls around the poster.
As we’ve previously reported, James Gunn has repeatedly described Clayface as a true horror film rather than a conventional comic book adaptation, and this trailer only reinforces that promise.
The film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Basil Karlo/Clayface, a B-movie actor who injects himself with a mysterious substance in an attempt to stay relevant, only to discover he can reshape his face and body into anything he can imagine. But his newfound gift soon mutates into a horrifying curse.
Also starring are Naomi Ackie, Leo Woodall, Caitríona Balfe, George MacKay, and Richard E. Grant.
It is directed by James Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan, based on the iconic DC character.
Look into the eyes of fear Clayface opens in theaters on October 23rd.
