Jack’s Attic Turns Michael Myers Mask Pieces Into ‘Halloween’ Evidence Cards

Jack’s Attic is at it again, and I love this one.

The creator’s latest custom horror trading card takes a piece cut from a Michael Myers mask and presents it as evidence recovered from Halloween night, 1978. The Halloween-inspired release arrives Friday, September 18, with each card designed to look like something pulled from the Haddonfield Sheriff’s Department evidence locker.

Think of those sports cards containing a little swatch of a player’s jersey, only here you’re getting a piece of the Shape’s face. That’s a pretty fun way to bring the relic-card concept into horror collecting.

These are custom collectibles, not screen-used memorabilia. Jack’s Attic makes clear that the pieces come from actual Michael Myers masks, but those masks were neither used onscreen nor made for a film production. The cards aren’t affiliated with the production of any Halloween movie.

The evidence-file presentation is part of the fun. You’re getting a real piece of a mask wrapped in a fictional history, made to feel like it’s awaiting forensic examination after a very bad night in Haddonfield. And because the masks are being cut into individual samples, the pieces will vary from card to card.

I’m a sucker for this kind of thing. It gives horror fans their own version of a memorabilia card while letting them play along with the idea that somebody finally opened the evidence locker.
