One of Netflix’s most underappreciated horror shows is back, and it looks just as ridiculous as ever.
The full trailer for Haunted Hotel Season 2 has arrived ahead of its October 9 premiere, when eight new episodes check into Netflix just in time for Halloween.
Last week’s teaser had Abaddon breaking the streaming service while making fun of its Halloween programming. Now we get a proper look at the season, which brings back all the fun, zany craziness that made the first such a good time.
There’s a new character thrown into the mix to freshen things up, alongside a whole assortment of ghosts, monsters, and supernatural disasters. The trailer also squeezes in nods to everything from Ghostbusters to The Ring. Apparently, running a haunted hotel means dealing with everybody else’s horror movies, too.
I still think more people should be talking about this show. It went totally crazy from day one, and this looks like another really fun batch of Halloween viewing.
Created by Matt Roller (Rick and Morty), the series follows a single mother trying to run the world’s most haunted hotel alongside her ghost brother, two kids, and a demon trapped in a little boy’s body.
The voice cast includes Will Forte (Extra Ordinary) as Nathan, Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings) as Katherine, Skyler Gisondo (Santa Clarita Diet) as Ben, Natalie Palamides (The Powerpuff Girls) as Esther, and Jimmi Simpson (Zodiac) as Abaddon.
Titmouse handles the animation, with Erica Hayes (Rick and Morty) serving as supervising director. Roller executive produces alongside Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon, and Steve Levy.
