If you’ve never experienced Evil Dead with a theater full of people losing their shit, here’s your chance.
Fede Álvarez’s brutal 2013 film returns to participating Regal theaters for one night only on October 20, as part of the chain’s “SOS26: Screams on Screen” series. Tickets are listed at $7.99, with locations and showtimes varying, according to Attractions Magazine’s lineup breakdown.
Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe) stars as Mia, a young woman whose attempt to get sober at a remote cabin becomes a blood-soaked nightmare when someone reads from a book that should have been left the fuck alone.
I’ve said it before: Evil Dead is my favorite horror movie of the 2010s. It’s ruthless, terrifying, and completely over the top, building to a finale that practically demands the biggest screen possible. Watching Mia fight her way through that downpour of blood with an audience is one hell of a way to celebrate Halloween.
The screening is part of Regal’s monthlong horror lineup, which also includes The Thing, Scream 2, The Blob, andTrick ’r Treat.
