‘Hellraiser: Revival’ Scarlet Church Trailer Introduces a Cult Coveting the Puzzle Box; Steam Demo Available

Pinhead isn’t the only one you’ll need to worry about in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival.

The new Scarlet Church trailer introduces Marlowe and his congregation of unholy priests, deviants, and cultists, who have their own plans for the Genesis Configuration puzzle box. And with a new demo available on Steam, you can step into this nightmare yourself.

“The human experience is counterfeit,” the trailer description teases. “Only pain and pleasure reveal the nature of their world.”

Apparently, the Scarlet Church can smell the Labyrinth on you. That doesn’t sound like a particularly strong position to bargain from.

In the demo, players enter the Labyrinth and encounter the church, which has taken possession of the Genesis Configuration. You’ll meet key characters and get a taste of their twisted agendas while navigating an ever-shifting realm of nightmares.

The demo also introduces the basics of combat, crafting, and puzzle-solving, giving players a chance to learn how to survive before the complete game arrives.

Marlowe, meanwhile, wants the box for his own devious purposes, with the Scarlet Church recruiting anyone willing to embrace Hell’s temptations. A congregation built around pain, pleasure, and a coveted puzzle box? That feels right at home in Hellraiser.

Of course, Pinhead is also waiting, with Doug Bradley (Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II) returning to voice the iconic Cenobite.
