Jessica Lange Teases ‘AHS’ 13 Fifth Mystery Character She’ll Be Playing
We already know Jessica Lange is reprising four fan-favorite characters for ‘AHS 13’, and she has now teased a fifth.
American Horror Story: 13 will soon arrive on FX and Hulu. We already know it intends to be the biggest season yet, bringing back multiple fan-favorite characters while calling back to everything we’ve seen before. Now, series regular Jessica Lange (pictured above) is teasing a fifth mystery character she’ll play.
Variety reports that, while on Good Morning America, Lange was asked what made her want to return for the new season. Her response came as quite the surprise. “It really was just the idea of bringing those four characters back —and one mystery character that I’m not going to [spoil].”
Added Lange, “There is a fifth character, but I won’t say who that is, and I’d be curious if anybody can figure it out.“
Of course, this all refers to the four characters that Lange will reprise for AHS 13. They include: Constance Langdon from Season 1, “Murder House”; Sister Jude Martin from Season 2, “Asylum”; Fiona Goode from Season 3, “Coven”; and Elsa Mars from Season 4, “Freak Show.”
So who’s this fifth returning character? Your guess is as good as mine. Admittedly, I haven’t watched since season 3.
Other returning cast/characters include Sarah Paulson (Run) as Cordelia Goode, Angela Bassett (Vampire in Brooklyn) as Marie Laveau, Emma Roberts (Scream 4) as Madison Montgomery, Evan Peters (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Kai Anderson, and John Carroll Lynch (Zodiac) as Twisty the Clown.
The new season begins with Ben, who takes a hospice job caring for a mysterious client in an eerie penthouse after his own near-death experience. Constance’s holiday gathering and the witches of Miss Robichaux’s Academy also factor into the unfolding story.
Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk created the series and executive produce this installment alongside Ned Martel and Charlie Carver.
