Paramount TV Studios Developing Series Adaptation of Vampire Novel ‘Coffin Moon’ with Jessica Biel
Paramount TV Studios is sinking its fangs into a series adaptation of vampire novel ‘Coffin Moon’ with Jessica Biel.
It has been a while since Jessica Biel (pictured above in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake) has been involved with a horror film, at least as far as I can recall. But that’ll change soon, as Deadline reports that Paramount Television Studios is sinking its fangs into a series adaptation of Keith Rosson’s vampire novel Coffin Moon with Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple’s Iron Ocean.
Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue (Painkiller) will develop, write, and showrun the project.
Rosson will serve as a consulting producer.
Set during a brutal winter in 1975 in Oregon, Coffin Moon follows a veteran and his adopted niece as they hunt—and are hunted by—the vampire that slaughtered their family.

Biel made an impact in the horror genre early in her career, most notably starring in the well-regarded Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. She also appeared in films such as Blade: Trinity, The Tall Man, and Hitchcock. While it doesn’t sound like she’ll star in Coffin Moon, it’s fun to have her back and staking a claim in horror once again.
