Lionsgate has released a trailer for ‘Day Drinker’, a supernatural revenge story starring Johnny Depp doing his best Max Cady impression.
Some of us wish he was done done, but Johnny Depp is done when he says he is apparently in the trailer for Lionsgate’s supernatural revenge movie, Day Drinker.
Day Drinker centers on a private-yacht bartender who stumbles upon a mysterious guest (Depp). Soon, the pair find themselves up against a criminal figure, discovering an unexpected connection.
Madelyn Cline (I Know What You Did Last Summer 2025) and Penélope Cruz (Vanilla Sky) also star.
Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) directed the feature from a script by Zach Dean (The Gorge).
The trailer reminds a bit of Cape Fear with hyper-stylized visuals and Depp soaked and screaming with fury. I’m not generally much of a fan of Webb and certainly not Depp, but I can’t say the film doesn’t look intriguing.
