Three More Join Ari Aster’s ‘Scapegoat’, Including Ella Purnell!
Ari Aster has found a few more to make his ‘Scapegoat’, with Ella Purnell, Caleb Landry Jones and Samba Schutte joining the cast!
Ari Aster (Hereditary) has found a few more to Scapegoat in his mysterious next movie.
Deadline reports that Ella Purnell (pictured above in Yellowjackets), Caleb Landry Jones (Dracula), and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death) have joined the already impressive cast that includes Scarlett Johansson (Under the Skin) and Jacob Elordi (Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein).
We also reported yesterday that Jude Law (Side Effects) was in talks to sign on.
Per usual with Aster’s work, the film is blanketed in mystery, without any plot details at this time. The outlet notes, however, that some say “it’s about a doctor who operates on an internet-famous person. Others say it’s sci-fi romance, and some have said it’s more of a traditional drama for Aster.”
Purnell has come on strong in recent years, with her roles in Yellowjackets and Fallout making her a fan favorite. Landry Jones flexed his horror muscles not long ago with an update on Dracula. Schutte, meanwhile, comes from more of a comedy background (see ), which should have him fitting right in with Aster’s dark humor.
