Kristen Stewart to Star in ‘Spiritual World’, Described As a “Steamier” ‘Personal Shopper’

Kristen Stewart (pictured above in Personal Shopper) is getting back into the ghost genre, as Variety reports she’s set to star in the supernatural film Spiritual World.

Vicky Krieps, Riley Keough, Wagner Moura, Barbara Sukowa and Niels Schneider have also joined the cast.

The project hails from French director Olivier Assayas, reuniting the filmmaker and Stewart after their work on Personal Shopper together.

Described as a “steamier” version of Personal Shopper, Stewart will play a haunted, clairvoyant young woman plagued by mysterious premonitions.

If you haven’t seen Personal Shopper, it’s damn good. Assayas didn’t win Best Director at Cannes with the film for nothing.

As for Stewart, she’s always been great. The actor first made a name for herself with the Twilight franchise. Though she’s gone on to bigger (and much better) things, she’s stuck around in the horror genre here and there. I especially loved her in the aquatic nightmare, Underwater.

Spiritual World will begin shooting in February in France and Germany.
