Ahead of its world premiere at Beyond Fest, we have our first look at the trailer for found footage mystery, ‘The Dark Gets In’.
What if the most terrifying thing isn’t losing someone you love, but finding them again?
I love a good mock-true crime documentary, and The Dark Gets In looks like it has the goods. Ahead of the film’s world premiere at Beyond Fest, we have our first look at the trailer. Get ready to feel uneasy.
Here’s the official synopsis: A mock-true crime documentary detailing the mysterious disappearance of a young girl. After teenager Aisling vanishes from her home one night, the investigation rapidly hits a dead end. Security cameras show no one entering or leaving the house. Any leads the police uncover go nowhere. There seems to be no logical explanation for her disappearance. Only when a witness identifies the prime suspect in the case as her long-dead brother does it become clear that the truth may be completely illogical – perhaps even supernatural. The girl’s grieving family are soon plunged into a waking nightmare. Before, they were afraid Aisling might be dead … but what if there are even worse things to fear?
The above trailer sent chills down my spine with the idea that finding someone you lost is far scarier than losing them…because what if they don’t come back, right? What if they’re never the same? And in this case, what if something truly sinister is involved?
Can you tell this trailer got to me a bit?
Charlotte Pyke, Cameron Lewis, Scott Burchell, and Kezia Cotterell star.
