Snake Plissken Battles Mutant Abominations in ‘Escape From the North Pole’ This December

Snake Plissken is spending Christmas somewhere considerably worse than New York.

Escape From New York: Escape From the North Pole sends the iconic antihero into an Arctic nightmare in a new comic-book one-shot, scheduled for December 23, 2026.

And despite that title and holiday release date, this doesn’t sound like a run-in with Santa. Snake is heading into a Siberian bioweapons facility crawling with mutated abominations.

After getting caught smuggling contraband across the border, Snake lands in Camp Vincent, also known as the Ellesmere Island Containment Facility—the northernmost prison in the world. His captors belong to the Canadian Shield, an organization hunting down surviving Soviet factions in the aftermath of World War III.

Naturally, they have a job for him.

Snake must rescue Soviet geneticist Dr. Svetlana Lysenko from a facility where the experiments have gone horribly wrong. His alternative? Stay on Ellesmere Island permanently.

Prison, an impossible rescue mission, and a bunch of monsters. Merry fucking Christmas, Snake.

“Fearless” Fred Kennedy (Dead Romans, Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre) writes the one-shot, with art by Danilo Beyruth (Ancient Enemies, Carnage, Ghost Rider).
