‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Wraps Filming; Netflix Shares New Jenna Ortega Photo

Netflix announced this morning that production has officially wrapped on Wednesday Season 3, sharing a new photo of Jenna Ortega (Scream, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) back at her typewriter as Wednesday Addams.

Frankly, I think Wednesday is a really entertaining show. It’s whimsical, weird, and fun, and Ortega is phenomenal in the role. There’s more than enough here to warrant a third season. I’d love to see her bring this version of Wednesday to the big screen in a new The Addams Family movie. I don’t imagine that’s ever going to happen, but we can dream, can’t we?

For now, the next season has a pretty substantial cast joining her, including several familiar faces from Tim Burton’s movies.

As we previously reported, Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Stranger Things) joins Season 3 as Tabitha, reuniting with Burton and Ortega following Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Eva Green (Penny Dreadful, Dark Shadows) also joins as Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s long-missing sister and Wednesday’s aunt. That puts another Burton collaborator in the Addams family, with a character whose history is tied to the show’s expanding family mysteries.

The other announced newcomers include:

• Chris Sarandon (Fright Night, Child’s Play) as Balthazar.
• Noah Taylor (Preacher, Game of Thrones) as Cyrus.
• Oscar Morgan (Gotham Knights) as Atticus.
• Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman) as Daisy.
