‘The Awakening’ Looks Like a Colombian ‘Predator’…With a Bigger Monster [Trailer]

Old sins. New blood. Cool premise.

We have our first look at the trailer for Well Go USA’s The Awakening. And I have to admit, I’m hooked.

The film looks like a Colombian take on Predator, albeit with what appears to be a much bigger monster.

Here’s the official synopsis: An elite military unit ventures into a Colombian jungle on a mission to eliminate an enemy target. What begins as a tactical operation quickly descends into a frenzied nightmare when a primeval force awakens in the darkness. Five hundred years earlier, a Spanish conquistador expedition was consumed by the same relentless curse. Separated by centuries but connected by the same hostile territory, both groups fight to survive the jungle’s curse.
