Sensational Aussie slasher ‘The Only One’ premieres at the Brooklyn Horror Fest on October 18. Check out these exclusive stills.
Great news, slasher fans. Michael Schwarz’s ode to slasher movies from the early aughts, The Only One, is having its premiere at this year’s Brooklyn Horror Fest. Co-written alongside Martyn Pedler and Marek Polgar, The Only One combines “the relationship tropes of Obsession, the upbeat humor of There’s Something About Mary, and the slasher craze of Wes Craven’s Scream.”
All of that sounds incredible, which is why I’m so excited to exclusively premiere several stills from the film ahead of its premiere. The Only One stars Mel Jarnson (Mortal Kombat) and Saphira Moran (Beast). Learn more about the movie below:
The official synopsis reads, “After 10 years in LA trying and failing to make it as an actor, Zoe returns to her small Australian town for a wedding and is faced with all the exes whose hearts she once broke. And worse? Someone is murdering them: a masked killer dressed as a demented Prince Charming. Zoe must awkwardly warn all her exes that a serial killer is coming after them and prove her own innocence to a bitter local cop she once dated – all before Prince Charming is the only one left alive to claim Zoe’s heart.”
We’re so excited to check out The Only One at this year’s Brooklyn Horror Fest, and stay tuned for our official review when the film premieres on Sunday, October 18.
