Blumfest is going on right now at NYCC, and with that comes a ton of news horror fans will want to hear.
First up, Blumhouse has announced that they are making a live-action feature adaptation of the horror game, Amanda the Adventurer!
Published by DreadXP and Arcadim in 2022, the game follows a young girl named Riley who discovers a tape called Amanda the Adventurer, a children’s television series that started out as a public access live-action show before being turned into a computer-animated cartoon. Riley plays the tape and is introduced to Amanda’s sidekick Wooly, an anthropomorphic sheep. Both are able to interact with Riley, and as Riley discovers more tapes, the darker things get.
Two sequels followed, with Amanda the Adventurer 3 releasing in 2025.
All we know at this time is that Matthew Patrick (MatPat) will produce.
