‘Carrie’ Finale Images Bring the Blood, Fire, and Prom Night Chaos!

It’s prom night, at long last.

Prime Video has provided Dread Central with a handful of officially approved, high-resolution images from Carrie’s bloody, ultra-violent season finale. Finally, some photos of the chaos itself instead of another batch of people standing around!

Major spoilers for the season finale below, including in the images.

We all know what happens when Chris and her boyfriend dump pig’s blood on Carrie in front of the entire school. But Mike Flanagan, who directed the finale, takes that familiar breaking point and turns it into a full-blown nightmare. There’s blood, there’s fire, and there’s his signature style all over it. It’s a banger of a finale that feels like a movie unto itself.

One of the standout shots features Siena Agudong (Netflix’s Resident Evil) as Sue Snell standing before Carrie, played by Summer H. Howell (Curse of Chucky), as the stage burns. Knowing what we know now, it’s hard not to study these interactions a little differently.

Are we looking at future heroes and villains? Could there be competing groups of psychics with very different plans for Carrie? That’s speculation, but those matching necklaces we’ve been discussing leave us with plenty of questions.
