‘Crystal Lake’ Episode Titles Revealed with Old-School VHS Graphic
With ‘Crystal Lake’ one day away, a graphic has been released revealing each episode title as VHS tapes, and it’s perfect.
One. More. Day. That’s how much longer you campers have to wait until Crystal Lake finally lands on Peacock from A24. To celebrate, the Friday the 13th prequel series has released a fun new old-school graphic announcing the titles of each episode. And fans of the franchise are going to love it.
The image below announces each episode as a stack of VHS tapes. It brings fans like me back to being a kid and wandering the horror section of the video store. I specifically recall staring at the VHS covers of the Friday films and thinking they must be some of the scariest movies ever made. Eventually, I watched them and discovered they weren’t, but that didn’t make me adore them any less.
Here are the titles:
- Camp Crystal
- Part II
- Part III
- A New Beginning
- The New Blood
- Kill Them, Mommy
- Friday…
- The Final Chapter
Yes, each episode title is a reference to the franchise, and it’s perfect. I do wish the Part II and Part III titles tried just a bit harder, but they still work.
From creator, writer, and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry), the Friday the 13th prequel follows Pamela (Linda Cardellini) almost a year after Jason’s drowning. Still consumed by grief, she receives a visit from two strangers digging into her past, setting off disturbing events throughout the town.
