‘Fall 3’: Grace Caroline Currey Returns, Filming Begins Next Year [Exclusive]

Grace Caroline Currey is still hanging around in the world of survival horror.

Dread Central has exclusively learned that Currey will return to lead Fall 3, with filming planned for 2027. The news follows the disappointing domestic theatrical run of Fall 2: Deadpoint, but the franchise is moving forward by bringing back the star who helped make the first movie work.

As we previously reported, original director Scott Mann is also returning to direct. The screenplay is ready, according to The Hollywood News’ newly published interview with Mann, in which he discussed writing the second and third films back-to-back with Jonathan Frank.

I loved Fall. It’s a great concept, and when you ask an audience to spend almost an entire movie trapped alongside someone, the right lead makes a huge difference. Going back to Currey makes some sense to me.

Currey plays Becky, whose husband dies in a climbing accident. A year later, her friend Hunter, played by Virginia Gardner (Halloween), persuades her to climb an abandoned, 2,000-foot television tower to scatter his ashes. Then the ladder collapses.

Hunter eventually dies trying to retrieve their supplies. Becky survives by placing her phone inside Hunter’s body and pushing it off the tower, protecting the device long enough for a message to reach her father once it regains a signal.

So, naturally, the question becomes: what could possibly convince this woman to put herself in another situation like that?

We don’t have the third film’s plot to share yet, but that’s actually what interests me. Following Becky into another disaster gives the franchise a strange little Final Destination quality. How much bad luck can one person have? It’s ridiculous, but movies require some suspension of disbelief, and there’s something fun about watching this particular survivor get pulled back into another hellish situation.
