Yes, Beni.
Considering how things went for him at the end of the original movie, that’s certainly interesting.

New to the franchise is Numan Acar (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Homeland), whose role is being kept under wraps. Obsession breakout Michael Johnston was also reported by Deadline to be in early talks for a role this summer, although his casting has yet to be officially confirmed.
The new film marks a major reunion for Fraser and Weisz, who launched the franchise together with Stephen Sommers’ The Mummy in 1999. The movie was a monster hit, earning more than $400 million worldwide and spawning The Mummy Returns in 2001, which was even bigger at the box office with more than $430 million worldwide. Fraser returned once again for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in 2008, which also cleared $400 million globally, although Weisz did not return and Evelyn was recast with Maria Bello.
Radio Silence’s movie appears ready to pretend that third adventure never happened.
The Mummy: Book of the Dead is currently scheduled to open in theaters on October 15, 2027.
