Michael Myers, Leatherface, Pennywise, and Savini Jason are getting the old-school toy-aisle treatment.
Photos shared by @aic_podcast show NECA’s Horror Icons figures in retro packaging, with oversized character portraits, blood splashes, and clear plastic bubbles displaying the killers and their weapons.
The account spotted the figures on eBay and suggested they were headed to Ross. Now, collectors are reporting finds at Ross, too, although availability appears to vary by location.
The four figures pictured are:
- Michael Myers from Halloween II, complete with those bloody tears.
- Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, carrying his chainsaw.
- Savini Jason from Friday the 13th: The Game, armed with his pitchfork.
- Pennywise from the original It, accompanied by his red balloon.
Savini Jason is the particularly fun surprise here. Dread Central exclusively revealed NECA’s Ultimate version earlier this year, bringing Tom Savini’s vision of a Jason who clawed his way out of Hell to collectors’ shelves. This carded release puts that demonic design alongside some very familiar faces.
The packaging is a huge part of the appeal, with a look reminiscent of the old Remco monster toys. These are the kind of figures where opening them means losing half the display. Check out the photos below, and let us know if you’ve spotted them at your local Ross.
