In the most unsurprising news of the day, hit series ‘American Horror Story’ has been renewed by FX for Season 14.
I’ll be the first to admit I don’t fully understand the popularity of Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story. It just isn’t for me. That said, I’m not surprised anymore that that popularity continues. So, color me less than shocked that Variety reports that FX has just renewed the hit horror series for Season 14.
Returning characters for AHS 13 include Jessica Lange (Cape Fear) as Constance Langdon, Sarah Paulson (Run) as Cordelia Goode, Angela Bassett (Vampire in Brooklyn) as Marie Laveau, Emma Roberts (Scream 4) as Madison Montgomery, Evan Peters (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Kai Anderson and John Carroll Lynch (Zodiac) as Twisty the Clown.
Murphy has already said that this will probably be the last time we see so many series characters back at once, so whatever happens next, I wouldn’t expect another massive gathering of stars for Season 14.
In his 3-star review of AHS 13 for Dread, Daniel Kurland wrote, “It’s the ultimate exercise in heightening that takes this franchise to ridiculous and unprecedented places, even by its standards.”
If you’re still watching and enjoying, don’t miss the season finale on October 29th.
