Chase Sui Wonders has been cast in the A24 R-rated puppet film, ‘Goblin’, and it sounds like a raunchy blast.
We now know what Chase Sui Wonders will do next summer, as THR reports the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot star has joined A24’s R-rated puppet film Goblin!
Wonders joins Will Forte, Skyler Gisondo, and Kenneth Branagh, the latter of whom will provide the voice of the title character in the outrageous comedy.
Goblin is an R-rated puppet comedy from writer-director David Mikalson, a filmmaker who burst onto Hollywood’s radar after his script for the project sparked a bidding frenzy and landed at A24. Mikalson is a relative newcomer whose short films and proof-of-concept work helped generate industry buzz before the studio backed the feature.
The project has been described as a raunchy buddy comedy that blends practical puppet effects with live action, with some comparing its tone to Ted meets E.T. The goblin itself is reportedly being brought to life as a practical puppet rather than a CGI creation, which only makes the whole thing sound even weirder.
Why do I keep picturing the Cheddar Goblin from Mandy? If Goblin can match even half of that little guy’s nasty madness, this could be a great time.
As for Wonders, she’s a rising star in horror (and film in general). Her genre credits include Bodies Bodies Bodies, I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025), and the upcoming Slayground. She’s also appeared in titles like I Want Your Sex and multiple episodes of The Studio.
