Maika Monroe (Longlegs, It Follows) stars in Victorian Psycho as Winifred Notty, an eccentric governess who arrives at the remote Ensor House to care for the Pounds family’s children. She’s hiding some psychopathic tendencies, and it isn’t long before members of the household begin disappearing.
Zachary Wigon (Sanctuary) directs from a screenplay by Virginia Feito, adapting her own novel. The cast also includes Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho), Ruth Wilson (The Little Stranger) and Jason Isaacs (A Cure for Wellness).
Dread Central’s Josh Korngut called the film “a vicious, funny, beautifully made swing” in his Cannes review, praising Monroe’s performance as a career best.
You can also watch the first clip ahead of the film’s theatrical release on Friday, November 13, from Bleecker Street.
