Based on the short story by E.F. Benson, psychological horror film ‘The Thing in the Hall’ has found its cast.
In a tale that sounds vaguely Lovecraftian, Deadline reports that Milo Hutton (The Night Agent), Booboo Stewart (pictured above in the Twilight franchise), and KaDee Strickland (Private Practice) have joined the psychological horror film The Thing In the Hall.
Taking inspiration from the short story by E. F. Benson, the film follows “Francis Assheton (Stewart), a psychology graduate student who moves into the isolated home of his longtime friend, Louis Fielder (Hutton). When Louis introduces Francis to his experiments in spiritualism, their shared curiosity takes a turn, drawing them into something neither fully understands.”
Yeah, that definitely sounds Lovecraftian. We can never have too much cosmic horror, so hopefully that’s where this story goes.
Strickland plays Claire Winter, the defense attorney tasked with investigating Francis’s account following a fatal incident.
Logan Kishi wrote the script and will direct, marking his feature directorial debut.
Kishi’s Darkbox Entertainment is producing.
