Richard Armitage to Play a Terrifying Hunter in Horror Pic ‘Chinghiale’
Richard Armitage is set to play a terrifying hunter in the horror pic ‘Chinghiale’, the sophomore feature from Jordan Tragash.

Richard Armitage (pictured above in the Hannibal series) is set to play a terrifying hunter in the horror film Chinghiale, reports Deadline.
Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland) and Quelin Sepulveda (Havoc) also star.
In the film, “Robertson and Sepulveda play two friends who travel to a remote Italian village to settle a family estate, where their trip spirals into a deadly game of deception at the hands of a charming hunter with a terrifying secret (Armitage).”
After Armitage’s chilling portrayal of Francis Dolarhyde in Hannibal, I can only imagine how well he’ll rattle the nerves this time around.
Kalil Sims (Bam!) and Alessandro Bertolucci (Rebel Hours) are also featured in the cast.
Deadline notes that the title means wild boar and takes its cue from the fact that Barga, and the wider Garfagnana Valley in which it lies, “is famous for the animals that roam its forests and sometimes the streets of the town.”
The film marks the sophomore feature of Jordan Tragash (Bam!).
Said Tragash, “Our shooting location offers an incredible backdrop, with steep cliffs, dense mist, and real-life wild boar roaming the surrounding hills. It’s the perfect setting for the kind of atmospheric thriller we are producing here. We are excited and humbled to be given the opportunity to capture this one-of-a-kind environment alongside our world-class ensemble.”
Producers are Devon Gulati, Michael Panico, Kendra Avinger and Elenna Sindler. Marco Allegri coproduces. Executive producers include Aaron Harvey, Roger Ellis Frazier, Alessandro Bertolucci, Harrison Moore, Jeremy Gilbreath, and Jaiden Fallo Sauter.
Chinghiale just began production in the medieval town of Barga in the Province of Lucca in Tuscany.
