An eloping couple runs up against a death cult in the horror pic ‘Father Figure’, heading to AFM from Connor Martin.
Come to undead daddy.
Deadline reports that Narrative Global Sales is bringing the cult horror pic Father Figure to AFM through their Chroma genre label.
The film “centers on a young couple’s elopement, which is hijacked by a death cult determined to resurrect the groom’s dead father.”
For some reason, this reminds me of Race with the Devil, about two couples hunted by a Satanic cult. If it has even half that energy, I’m in.
At this time, the film has not been cast.
Connor Martin wrote and directed the film.
Josh Farnsworth will produce.
Father Figure aims to begin production next year.
Before we see Father Figure, Martin’s horror-comedy The Dreggs, starring Stephen Lang (Don’t Breathe), will arrive first. It’s currently in post-production.
