Nicholas Galitzine could be trading He-Man’s sword for a trip to Sleepy Hollow.
According to a newly confirmed report from MyTimeToShineHello, the Masters of the Universe star is in talks to play Ichabod Crane opposite Sydney Sweeney (Immaculate) in Sony’s Hollow.
Treat this as a rumor for now; his involvement has not been officially confirmed.
As we previously reported, Lindsey Anderson Beer (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines) is writing and directing the film, adapting her own forthcoming debut novel. This version puts Sydney Sweeney’s Katrina Van Tassel at the center of a supernatural mystery and love triangle, mixing gothic horror with psychological intrigue and erotic thriller elements.
Belmont Cameli (Until Dawn) has already joined the cast. He’ll play Brom Bones, Ichabod’s rival for Katrina’s affections in Washington Irving’s original story. If the rumor pans out, that would give the film its three leads.
I thought Nicholas Galitzine was really affable and likable in Amazon MGM’s Masters of the Universe. It’ll be interesting to see if Hollywood can make him a thing, and Ichabod Crane would certainly give him something different to play after He-Man.
What interests me about Hollow is the shift in perspective. As we discussed when the project was first announced, Katrina is driving the story this time, with the mystery unfolding around her. That leaves room for a very different relationship between these characters than the one we already know.
LuckyChap, Lindsey Anderson Beer’s Lab Brew and Honey Trap are producing. The novel is scheduled for publication through Putnam in fall 2027.
