Fresh off last year’s box office hit Terrifier 2, star Lauren LaVera is back this year in director Joe Lam‘s indie The Fetus, a horror-comedy with a wild pregnancy horror premise.
Horror vet Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects) stars alongside Lauren LaVera in The Fetus, and the official trailer has arrived.
In the upcoming horror film…
“When Alyessa becomes pregnant, it brings up Chris’ deep-rooted trauma surrounding fatherhood. Upon discovering that their fetus craves human blood, they visit their father, Maddox, for answers.”
Joe Lam said in a recent statement, “With The Fetus, I wanted to delve into the emotional terrain of Alyessa’s unwanted pregnancy, exploring the complexities it imposes on her relationships with her father Maddox and her partner Chris. The fetus becomes a metaphorical antagonist, unraveling both Chris and Alyessa’s psyche, leading them on a haunting journey of fear, self-discovery, and the intricate web of family dynamics.”
“Ultimately, I hope this story challenges the boundaries of the horror genre,” he added.
Julian Curtis and Amy Arena also star in the indie genre movie.
The film hails from Shining Light Pictures and Barbhouse Productions.
