Y’all Aren’t Ready for this ‘Scary Movie’ Popcorn Bucket

Paramount Pictures has been going all out with the marketing for Scary Movie, the sixth entry in the popular spoof horror franchise created by the Wayans brothers. And in a new post from the film’s official X account, the studio is teasing one of the more outrageous popcorn buckets we’ve seen.

In the video below, the account posted a look at a popcorn bucket that’s essentially a giant bong with “Scary Movie” slapped on it. The caption reads, “y’all weren’t ready”. If this is a real thing that fans will be able to buy (I doubt it but I’d love to be wrong), then they’re right…we weren’t ready.

In the sixth entry of the popular horror spoof franchise, twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs, and no horror movie IP is safe. 

Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.

For those keeping count, here are some of the movies lampooned in Scary Movie: Terrifier 3, Weapons, Sinners, A Quiet Place, Annabelle, MA, Get Out, The Substance, and M3GAN – it even takes multiple jabs (or stabs, if you will) at the new Scream films, which is the main reason the 2000 Scary Movie is so damn good.

Paramount Pictures will release Scary Movie in theaters everywhere on June 5, 2026.
